Brochure text: Introducing Venaire Airlines (VE), the fictitious national airline of Venezuela. Based in Caracas, with its primary hub at Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS), this airline commenced its operations on April 21, 2021, in a parallel universe. As a contemporary art project, Venaire Airlines embodies the imagination and creativity of an alternate reality, showcasing a unique airline experience that is both authentic and innovative, but not true. Explore our simulated flights and curated travel packages that offer a glimpse into an exciting world of infinite possibilities. Join us as we embark on a journey of discovery and adventure, brought to life by the power of art and imagination.
The Venezuelan airline, a member of Star Alliance, flies domestically and operates in the South American market, similar to Conviasa’s (V0) and LASER’s (QL) domestic and Central/South American network seen in our current reality. VE plans to fly to major hubs in the US and Europe.
As for flights to the United States, assuming the government restrictions are lifted, VE is set to target Miami and Fort Lauderdale, followed by New York JFK. These should be the destinations with the greatest amount of demand between Venezuela and the US, so the routes do not completely rely on connections.
Venaire Airlines Fleet
Venaire’s fleet consists of 20 A320neo Family aircraft, preferred over Boeing’s 737 MAXs. Operating a fleet of A320neos on essentially all of VE’s routes allows the carrier to perform well.
For potential European destinations, both the A321LR and A321XLR have the capability to fly from Caracas to Lisbon and Madrid nonstop. This keeps the airline efficient by operating a single family of aircraft.

Presentation
The work consists of a happening at a major city mall or industry event where the fantastical national carrier is showcased in a booth with airline reps, et al.
The fictitious airline is the body of documents that constitute the carrier as such, plus images from the aforementioned happening, presented in an art context.
Documentation includes airline stationery, brochures, images, livery sketches, airline documents, route maps, and presentation booth items.
Additionally, aircraft models with the Vanaire livery will be on display, along with photos and video documentation of the aircraft painting process.
